ABOUT FADAA

Today, FADAA is the service arm of the Florida Behavioral Health Association and manages an array of contracts and grants to develop and support responsive systems and tools to facilitate the transfer of evidence-based practices (EBPs) to the field and in initiating and expanding continuous quality improvement activities. FADAA’s extensive portfolio of activities includes hundreds of training and technical assistance events, as well as the operation of a web-based resource center, and the management of a network of community-based treatment providers to deliver Medication Assisted Treatment to individuals with a substance use disorder in Florida who are court involved, at danger of being court involved, or cannot afford the medication.

FADAA was incorporated in 1981 and has over 40 years of experience in advancing Florida’s substance use and mental health service delivery system. In 2019, FADAA merged with the Florida Council for Mental Health to form the Florida Behavioral Health Association (FBHA), representing Florida’s premier community-based substance use and mental health treatment and prevention agencies.
