MAT in correction settings
Beginning in July of 2019, FADAA received funding from the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to support the training of corrections professionals on the use of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).
“Within three months of release from custody, 75-percent of people who were in prison or jail with an opioid use disorder experience a relapse to opioid use.”[1]
FADAA is currently developing and identifying materials to support the expansion of the use of MAT in correction settings in Florida. We will be providing training opportunities around the state, please contact us to find out more information:
