While many service providers are familiar with trauma-informed care, those outside of the behavioral health field may be unfamiliar with trauma and its implications. This webinar will define and categorize various types of trauma, explore its effects on the brain, and the natural responses impacted individuals may exhibit. Participants will gain essential insights into trauma-informed practices and discover practical strategies for intervention. With this foundational knowledge, attendees will be able to shift their perspective on trauma and recognize its direct impact on fostering resilience.

This webinar is designed for parents, caregivers, behavioral health practitioners, health care providers, prevention professionals, school professionals, program managers, supervisors, and executives in behavioral health agencies, Managing Entities, and Department of Children and Families program staff.
Presented by:
Shaina Bradley, LCACA, LSW, MSW, CADAC IV, CAPRC II-FS, is Director of Peer Recovery Services at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington, Indiana. With over ten years of experience in both healthcare and criminal justice settings, she currently implements hospital recovery support services in conjunction with the county Mobile Integrated Response System. Shaina also managed the Daviess County State Opioid Response grant for three years. She graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, with a concentration in Substance Abuse Counseling and a Master of Social Work, specializing in Mental Health and Addiction.
